Just so we know what Obama’s plan was, this is from their website.
“The President’s plan builds a smart, effective immigration system that continues efforts to secure our borders and cracks down on employers who hire undocumented immigrants. It’s a plan that requires anyone who’s undocumented to get right with the law by paying their taxes and a penalty, learning English, and undergoing background checks before they can be eligible to earn citizenship. It requires every business and every worker to play by the same set of rules. ”
It’s just a step in the right direction.

That’s all you do here, jimmy. Regurgitate propaganda that is fed to you by the loony left. We know all about the “plans” your emperor wants to cram down our throats. We can’t stand any more “plans”.

Ellison,
Randy the video guy has as little credibility as Peter Lang when it comes complaining about being caustic. They both have a long track record of insults and abuse
There’s that hypicracy again. Don’t you even know that you have by far the most prolific record of posting insults, abuse and just plain nastiness. You fill the threads with your comments of your bile and ego driven comments.
I have zilch patience or tolerance for either.
The feeling is mutual. So why don’t you just shut up and stop your trolling, troll.

You’re vapid. I live in a metro where the grass is mowed limit to limit mostly by illegal aliens, and I do not see anybody objecting. It’s been that way since at least the 1980’s.
Me? The surgeon who lives across the street wants his son to learn a strong work ethic, so I pay him to mow my lawn. He has an excellent GPA.

“These would be the ones who have paid their fair share of income and payroll taxes by the time they have retired. What is the complaint about?”
First, a perspective. There is no social security fund, all social security tax receipts are spent by the treasury each year. Also, employers are taxed by an equal amount as the employee; the amount taken out of all employees” paychecks in total is equally taken out of the employers’ profit.
Social Security benefits payed to retirees come out of the general fund; it becomes part of the national debt.
Benefits paid to retirees are only remotely related to social security taxes paid in; the amount paid in equals the amount paid out in only a few years. The younger generation winds up paying the older generation; it is unsustainable as there becomes few of the young and more of the old.
Keep warm

The social security fund is made up of obligations of the United States of America, which are broadly considered to be the safest investment on the face of the earth.

Max_OK,
Why is it so hard for you to understand that if you allowa safer technology to replace less safe technologies you’ll save lives? That’s safer.

SS fund is an obligation like prick Obama’s obligation to enforce the law.

Your saying the grass won’t get mowed without illegal immigration. All you are providing is a bunch of bogus rationalizations for open borders. The smarmy bleeding hearts say we got to do this because the immigration system is broken. Well, who t__ f___ broke it?

The choice is between (a) loosely regulated nuclear power, or (b) burning cow dung for fuel.
Hmm….
I need more time to think.
Comment on Open thread: Thanksgiving edition by Jim D
rls, at this point more is being paid into SS than being taken out on an annual basis. This is not sustainable and some reform is needed with the changing age distribution (and, no, I don’t mean depopulation, Rob). Adding more workers helps in the current situation, but won’t solve the problem that is there anyway.

The old-timers here sure don’t like Hispanic poor people trying to better themselves.

‘Randy the video guy has as little credibility as Peter Lang when it comes complaining about being caustic. They both have a long track record of insults and abuse. I have zilch patience or tolerance for either. With such a history – do they really expect anything different? More likely just ordinary hypocrisy.’
Let’s put it in context – Peter Lang accuses me of being more abusive than him. Or indeed webby, Springer, the mad, naked emperor Moshpit?
It’s a matter of degree don’t ya know – and I’m the by far the worst – according to Lang. It’s a judgment call – but for sheer nastiness and spite – I’d put Lang right up there. Seriously – do they expect to be obnoxious little twits and not elicit a response? And then to complain about it is the height of hypocrisy.

if China and the rest of the developing world (i.e. around 90% of the world’s population) can get access to a cheap alternative to fossil fuels (of which nuclear is the only proven and likely option), they will burn coal and other fossil fuels. See:

jim2, Obama is now enforcing laws: the ones about all workers paying taxes and employers not being allowed to exploit undocumented workers to gain an unfair advantage in the market.

Do you know how many Americans have opted out of the labor force during the Obama regime, jimmy dee? How about adding some of them back in by cutting off their freaking EBT cards and other freebies? Oh, they won’t take the menial jobs that illegal immigrants perform. If they get cold and hungry, they will.

I don’t blame the Hispanic poor people from wanting to better themselves. Same for Africans, Filipinos, Chinese, et al. We can’t take everybody who wants to come here. We have to control our borders. You don’t get that part.
