Likewise, if that’s what you decide, Dr Curry.

I think Juliua’s attempt to bridge the scientific gap on climate was very good and very fair’. However the gap is still there and will persist until it is accepted that climate is an on/off phenomena, not a continuous process at least in the 20th century. See my theoretical model underlined above.

This is what happens when a Chicago community organizer with the Rev. Wright as pastor gets elected president. Won’t end well for him, his entourage (Holden), the Dems (this piss ant congressman pulling a McCarthy). They evidently forgot some of us can read, think, AND vote.

Having a Goliath come after you can make you feel really helpless. But an attorney can help.

+10. But the instruction manual won’t help; he is apparently illiterate.

Personally, I think Gruber hit the nail on the head. After all, Obumbles was elected TWICE! Only if you go full paranoid and believe the (mostly) voting machine elections were rigged, the US citizens are awfully stupid.

1000 –

Judith does not generally delete my comments if they are carefully thought out out expressed -although there have been a couple of occasions.

I think that you can express disagreement on pretty much anything at ATTP without getting moderated out if you express yourself thoughtfully so as not to antagonize.

Thoughtfulness and intent to antagonize are not mutually exclusive. People rarely don’t have ultimate control over whether they get moderated.

People have been over and over the Schneider convo many times. You didn’t have anything to say that hasn’t been said before, i assure you. It wasn’t about “not being subjected to opposing viewpoints.” it’s about not wanting to face the same points over and over that people think are just flat out poorly-reasoned.

Dr. Curry, this is appalling conduct by appalling people. Of course if you are out to “Save the Earth” I guess anything is acceptable, it is of course the most pressing problem of all time, evah, and really really bad, so we must run over anybody in our way. Did I mention how bad climate change is going to be ?

Heck, pay no attention to all that other stuff going on, a few beheading is nothing when the whole planet is at risk…

Stick to your guns, your stuff is solidly reasoned (although I disagree with the fundamental hypotheses) and it should be heard.

Of course as a full blown denier I expect once they get done with the likes of you lukewarmer’s they will be looking for me next.

What’s the quote; first they came for the lukewarmers and I did not speak out because I was not a lukewarmer, then they came for the skeptics and I did not speak out because….

As an alumnus of Ga. Tech I did speak out by sending a “notice of significant outrage” to the president (of Ga. Tech, not the other one) on your behalf.

Don’t let em wear you down (I can’t spell it in Latin like real smart folks can)

Cheers, KevinK

So it’s red baiting to point out that the United States and most of Europe are run by progressives whose fondness for socialism is matched only by their ignorance of capitalism?

Michael, good for exposing your warped sense of humor yet again.
The Soon allegations are third time recycled garbage from the same original Greenpeace sources. Already been re-exposed elsewhere.
Why do you associate with such stuff. Tars you with the same brush. Maybe you cannot see or smell the tar?

Sauce for the goose is not apparently, among warmists, sauce for the gander.

Michael Mann on the Grijalva pseudo subpoena.

“Mann, a prominent Penn State climate scientist who has has been subject of Republican-led probes of his work in past years, had a mixed verdict on the letters.

‘It does come across as sort of heavy handed and overly aggressive,’ Mann told National Journal, adding that he is “a little uncomfortable” with the demands for the professors’ correspondence. But he said there’s nothing wrong with seeking information on funding sources. ‘That is something that no scientists should have any qualms’ about providing, Mann said.

Mann also said the Grijalva letters on funding should not be ‘conflated’ with probes he has faced from GOP Rep. Joe Barton and Cuccinelli.”

http://www.nationaljournal.com/energy/democratic-congressman-draws-backlash-over-climate-funding-probe-20150225

It may be “soet of” heavy handed, and the Mann may be a “little uncomfortable” (just a little mind you, we wouldn’t want to go overboard), but no scientists should have any qualms about it.

It’s this kind of clarity of thought and strong stand on principle that makes Michael Mann the pillar of the modern scientific world that he is.

Kevin, where I come from the fancy Latin version of your sentiment is:
Illegitimi non carborundum (please, this actually a metaphoical joke).
The ‘official’ Harvard translation is:
Don’t let the bastards grind you down.
